Cannot Start The PS4 – How To Fix It

Posted on January 15, 2020 Written by admin Leave a Comment

Do you have a ps4 and you cannot start the ps4? I know it can be extremely frustrating when you’re looking to play your favorite games and all of a sudden you can’t even start your device. Especially if you receive error codes such as CE-34335-8. Overall the PlayStation 4 is a fantastic game console, but there are still possibilities for malfunctions to occur, of course.

In this article, we’ll go over some of the most common problems and how to troubleshoot these issues so you can enjoy playing your favorite games on the Playstation 4 console again!

Blue Indicator Light Blinking

Cannot Start The PS4 Blue Light

The blue light that is pulsating simply means that there could be potentially a big problem. Usually, it means there is a failed video output before your device just shuts down or turns off. In this scenario, the console doesn’t send any signal to your TV. This prevents the ability to have your console run normally.

To fix this, you’ll first want to update your TV’s hardware. Updating the hardware can solve the lack of audio and video signals. Another option, you can try is to go over and check the HDMI ports. Sometimes there can be damages on your HDMI port or HDMI cables. There could also be abnormalities as well. Always make sure there is any rust or water near it.

Other solutions you can try to check the power supply. You’ll want to hold the power button for a minimum of 7 seconds. Or see if the ps4 beeps twice and powers off. Once you’ve done that you can disconnect the AC power cord from the electrical outlet. Also while you’re doing that go look at the AC IN connector and power cord for any damages.

Another solution is to try looking at the hard drive. When checking the hard drive, you need to ensure that the PS4 is turned off. Hold the PS button until the console light turns orange. Then try to hold the PS button again until the light turns white. Try these solutions to fix the blue light indicator light blinking for Cannot Start The PS4 error.

Red Indicator Light Blinking

This is another troubling problem that could be very serious for your console. Usually, the red light will blink repeatedly and then shut off after with 3 beeps. This can normally be tied to overheating and the internal fan may not be working.

Here are some solutions to this problem. The obvious solution is just to take a break and let your console cool down. Once that is done, hold the power button for at least 7 seconds or until system beeps. Once that happens, disconnect the power supply and let it cool down further. From there, you can begin to power up again later.

Another solution to try is to give your PS4 literal space. Put the console to a well ventilated cool space to allow for breathing room. Make sure to avoid carpet. This is another solution for Cannot Start The PS4 error.

Damaged HDMI Cables And HDMI Ports

HDMI cable & Ports

To fix Cannot Start The PS4 error, sometimes people are quick to try to purchase a new console without even looking to check the cables. Sometimes it can be external away from the console. The cables can also cause a lack of video or audio output as well, so sometimes people can get the root cause wrong because of the diagnosed systems.

Here are a few solutions. First, check the HDMI ports again for damages and abnormalities. If this is the case simply replace the cables to see if that fixes the problem. Now if the meal is bent, you can choose to bend the metal back into place by using a pin or small tool.

A Game That Has Bricked Your System

Sometimes a game can brick your system causing an entire system malfunction as well. To solve this you can reboot your console up again in safe mode. To do this simply hold down the power button until you hear a beep twice. Once back on, select the option to rebuild the database option. This allows you to start without erasing anything.

If this fails, try to repeat the steps again until it does work. With any of these problems, remember that you can always get in touch with Sony via phone, forums, live chat or twitter for prompt customer service. Simply check their website for more details.
